Tasmania

In 2004 the ANZIAM conference will be held in Tasmania, at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Hobart.

The average maximum temperature for Hobart in February is 22.5 ° C, but Tasmanian weather can be very variable so we advise that you bring one set of warmer clothing.

Over the course of the conference we will run a number of half day coach tours to local attractions, subject to demand. Prices will vary, typically costs will be A$30 to A$40 per person.

Travel and Accomodation

Special rates for conference delegates have been negotiated with the Hotel Grand Chancellor:

Be sure to identify yourself as an anziam delegate when making your booking.

Both Qantas and Virgin Blue offer flights to Hobart from all major mainland centres.

There is a coach service from the aiport to the hotel at a fee of A$17 per head one-way. Alternately, taxi fare from the airport is approximately A$35.
